👋 Overview

BumbleTasks ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your family's privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

📋 Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Family & Profile Data: Family name, child profile names, ages, emoji avatars, and points balances that you create within the App.

Task & Reward Data: Tasks you create, assign, and complete; rewards you define; and point transaction history.

Usage Data: Crash reports and basic usage analytics (via Sentry) to help us improve the App. This data is anonymized and does not include personal identifiers.

👧 Children's Privacy

BumbleTasks is intended for use by parents and guardians to manage their children's tasks. Child profiles within the App are created and controlled entirely by the parent/guardian.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
• Child profiles contain only the information you (the parent) provide: a name, age, and emoji avatar.
• Children do not create accounts or register with BumbleTasks independently.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us without parental consent, please contact us at support@bumbletasks.com and we will promptly delete it.

🔧 How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App's core features (tasks, rewards, profiles).
• To send real-time updates within your family (via Supabase Realtime).
• To diagnose crashes and fix bugs (via Sentry).
• To respond to your support requests.

We do not use your data for advertising.

🤝 Third-Party Services

We use the following trusted third-party services to operate BumbleTasks:

• Supabase — Database, authentication, and real-time sync. Privacy Policy
• Sentry — Error monitoring and crash reporting. Privacy Policy

These services are bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements.

🔒 Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
• Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Access to your family's data is restricted by Row-Level Security policies in our database.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we strive to use industry-standard protections.

🗑️ Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your family's data at any time:

• Use the "Delete Family & Data" option in Settings.
• Or email us at support@bumbletasks.com and we'll delete your data within 30 days.

📬 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notice or email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
